TIMING & RECORDING
The game keeps the time.
Your official time is the Time shown on the game’s Victory screen. You do not need a separate timer to submit a run.
Record before you start.
In OBS, capture the game’s browser window. Record one continuous attempt, including the setup before you enter.
Keep recording through Victory.
After the final boss falls, continue through the rewards, chest and wheel until the Victory screen appears. Keep its Time readable for a few seconds before stopping the recording.
Submit that exact Time.
On the submission page, choose a screenshot of the final scorecard to fill the time automatically, or enter minutes:seconds yourself, such as 4:51. Check the detected time and link the full, uncut video. Do not substitute an overlay time or add or subtract time yourself. A death screen is not a successful clear.
Reviewers verify the result against the video. Equal times share a rank.
The Victory screen at 5:10 in the proof video shows 4:51. The LiveSplit overlay shows 4:31.40; the leaderboard uses 4:51.
Optional: a LiveSplit overlay
Use this if you want a running clock in your recording or for practice. It does not set your leaderboard time. These instructions are for Windows.
Download LiveSplit and the MOG preset.
Download LiveSplit from its official site, extract the ZIP, and open LiveSplit.exe. Extract our preset ZIP into a folder you can find again.
The preset contains a clean split file and layout. It has no saved runs or personal best.
Load the preset and set your keys.
Right-click the LiveSplit window. Choose Open Splits → From File and select MOG Boss Clear.lss. Then choose Open Layout → From File and select MOG Timer.lsl.
Open Settings. Click the Start / Split box and press F8. Set Reset to F9, and enable Global Hotkeys. Leave Pause unassigned. Select Real Time as the timing method.
If your keyboard uses F-keys for volume or brightness, enable Fn Lock or hold Fn. You can choose other unused keys in Settings.
Put the game and clock in OBS.
Open the game in its own browser window. In OBS, add a Window Capture source for the game, then another for LiveSplit. Place the clock where it does not cover the game’s health, floor, boss or final results.
Record a short test with the game window focused. Press F8, let the clock run, press F8 again, then F9. Play back the test to check that both the game and clock were captured.
F8 finishes because the preset has one split: Boss defeated. If capture is black, try another Window Capture method and test again.
Use the overlay for practice.
Press F8 when you gain control and again when the final boss is defeated. Use F9 to reset before another attempt. Keep OBS recording until the Victory screen is visible, and submit the game’s Time regardless of the overlay reading.
The game provides the official result automatically on the Victory screen. The optional LiveSplit preset still uses manual hotkeys.
